Do You Love Saigon Bowl Like I Do?

Updated: Nov 15, 2020

From My First Bite I was Hooked!

We came at Saigon Bowl for lunch in Summer of 2020. It was a strange time yet our craving for Vietnamese food broke down all restrictions and rules. Indeed, we were glad that we did come in. We came regular ever since.

Saigon Bowl For Lunch, Not To Be Missed! There is an old saying.."Every bite takes you home..." I love it so much. Food makes us feel good, alive and vibrant. For foodie, in addition to having a full belly, there is something very satisfying about trying new things, being exposed to new color, taste and experience. Food connects us all. Food connects us to each other, to our own pasts and identities/memories, and nature and its original. Best of all, food connects us to the world around us. Again, eating is a social thing. Saigon Bowl gives me that feeling when we come – the warm homie feel.

Why Vietnamese Food Should Be Your Ideal Cuisine? Personally, first and foremost, it has to be the Taste and the Flavor. Vietnamese cuisine looks simple yet very complex in flavors. The taste is consisting of sweet, salty, spicy, sour, bitter, and pungent all figure prominently in Vietnamese cuisine so there is a dish available for every craving and mood. Secondly, Vietnamese cuisine is some of the healthiest food out there. Simply by looking at its colorful dish, you can see the 3 healthy colors green, red and yellow. You can also identify what you eat from carb, protein, and healthy fiber. It has almost everything your body needs to keep your going. Vietnamese cuisine is well balanced.

Saigon Bowl Pho is not to be missed. Arguably the most famous of Vietnam’s dishes. The term was actually Pho originated in the north before spreading across the whole country as the Vietnamese moved south. Although the northern and southern Pho is different from the south having fresh herbs and sprouts whereas the north misses these ingredients. Pho has such a complex in ingredients and rich in flavor. Usually made with beef, it can also be made with chicken but this isn’t as commonplace. The broth is made with the beef bones and charred onion, star anise and ginger. Garnishes include Asian mint, thorny coriander, lime wedges and bean sprouts. Again, Pho at Saigon Bowl is the place for you to try.

Personally the toughest part about coming here would be the difficulty of choosing between pho or grilled pork over rice or vermicelli rice noodle. Either way, you simply don’t make bad choice. Since the beginning Fall In Love With Bún Thịt Nướng in English would be Grilled Pork + Vermicelli Rice Noodles Vietnamese. So if you’re wanting to add new flavors, colors, and textures to your weekly routine, bún thịt nướng would be it! Best of all. Sizzling grilled pork chops that have been marinated over night then grilled to perfection. Then it lays on top of either rice or vermicelli rice noodles, this is a good start. Then accompany with fresh green salad and delicious and rich in flavor topping sauce. I’d tell ya this is a party in a mouth.

Vietnamese cuisine has History dated back a thousand years. Vietnamese cuisine has heavily influenced by Chinese, French, and other cuisines. This shows its complexity and visual appeal. My Advise About Vietnamese food or any food would be you have gotten to try. Trying something new is the best way to determine your favorite cuisine is. Everyone has to try things you’ve never had in international restaurants and on trips abroad. Simply close your eyes and stab at the menu! Who knows your favorite new dish might be a bite away.
